Ideally,
you should brush your cat's teeth once a week, more often if your cat's
teeth are not aligned well, (overshot or undershot jaw is common in peke
faces). This will help
prevent a tartar build up and ensure your cat has a lifetime of healthy
teeth. If your cat refuses to let you brush its teeth or you just don't
have the patience, then I would recommend an annual dental trip to your
veterinarian. He can remove tartar and polish the teeth for you.
